The project
Disney Musicals in Schools is a free programme delivered by musical theatre professionals in up to
five London Primary schools each year. We guide schoolteachers through a programme of support,
tools, and resources to put on their very own musical theatre show and offer lasting guidance to
help embed performing arts within the school for years to come.
As well as strengthening their skills in acting, singing, dancing, and working backstage, students will
develop confidence, enhance speaking & listening and will learn how to collaborate with their peers.
The 17-week programme culminates in a performance of your chosen Disney KIDS production within
your school as well as the unique opportunity to showcase their work at a special performance on a
West End stage.
Disney Musicals in Schools presents primary schools with a unique opportunity to introduce the
collaborative art of musical theatre, to establish or strengthen your arts offer, and develop
collaboration amongst students, teachers, parents, governors, and the wider community.
We particularly encourage schools that have a high proportion of EAL students and Pupil Premium
allocation to apply, as well as those who are keen to develop and embed a sustainable performing
arts offer at the school.
