Wardrobe Assistant, Maternity Cover - Frozen
This upcoming role is an opportunity for a keen and motivated individual to join the wardrobe department on Disney’s Frozen on a fixed term basis as a Maternity Cover. Working with the Head of Wardrobe, their Deputy and other assistants, this assistant will help with the day to day of running a West End musical to maintain the excellence of the show.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist the Head and Deputy Head Of Wardrobe to ensure the smooth running of all rehearsals and performances.
- Assist the Head and Deputy Head Of Wardrobe on any day-to-day changes that might impact the running of the Production.
- Support team members in teaching workroom skills.
- Perform daily setup and Wardrobe pre-sets.
- Ensure an awareness of understudy and swing performances ahead of each show and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain and clean costumes so they are in working order for each performance.
- Conduct costume fittings when required to do so.
- Learn and execute the tracks backstage for the Wardrobe Department.
- Attend rehearsal, technical, dress and understudy rehearsals as required.
- Maintain, clean and repair Costumes as instructed and dictated by the artistic requirements and under the direction of the Head and Deputy Head Of Wardrobe, Production Manager and Resident Creative Team.
- Handle any problems that occur during performances quickly and calmly.
- Report and feedback show and staff related issues in a timely manner.
- Work in accordance with the Health And Safety Policy and maintain a good working knowledge of all relevant health and safety legislation and good working practices.
Skills
- Ability to remain focused and calm when under pressure.
- Excellent relationship and interpersonal skills with cast, creative and production team essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and use of own initiative.
- A full awareness of need for integrity and confidentiality.
- Extensive knowledge of costume construction and ability to sew and alter garments.
- Have an understanding of different materials and components including Silk, Spandex, fabric surface painting, beading and zippers.
- Knowledge of laundering and maintaining stage costumes.
- Experience in a similar role within a large-scale musical production working with an international cast is highly desirable.

Additional Information
- Fixed Term Contract.
- Weekend and evening work integral (Tuesday to Sunday show schedule).
- This role will require the candidate to understand and follow the Health and safety rules & regulations in place at the the production.
